During the week of August 16, 2010, Hanger Orthopedic Group opened its new corporate headquarters in Austin and launched a region-wide art competition called “ARTroduction to Austin.” The competition encouraged local artists to compete for a $10,000 commission and the opportunity to display artwork at Hanger’s new facility at The Domain. As we move our corporate headquarters to Austin, we’re looking to discover an area artist to bring our shared values of creativity and innovation to life in our new office space. To find the perfect art and get to know Austin’s emerging artistic talent, we’re hosting a competition inviting artists in the Austin area to create original work for our lobby gallery.
The selected artist will receive a $10,000 Hanger Commission Award for their artwork representing the “Hope and Ability” theme. The completed art will be displayed in the Hanger headquarters at The Domain for two years before being auctioned off to support a local nonprofit organization.
