Life – Montena Fink – Austin, TX
“This is painting no. 6 out of seven in the series named ‘Forsaken’…The name for my series ‘Forsaken’ came from my realization that these items were not intentionally discarded, but rather they had inadvertently ended up where they were now stuck. To me they represent how life can look when it takes an unexpected course, the need for assistance and the plea for someone to see their potential.” Full Artwork Description www.finkpaintings.com | 325.423.0768 | tenafink@yahoo.com |

Strides – Morgan Graff – Austin, TX
“‘Moving Lives Forward’ will be represented by the movement of the globes along with the achievements depicted within. They will be a beautiful time capsule of life that has happened but also illustrate what is possible and leave one wondering, ‘What is next?’” Full Artwork Description 512.968.2551 | morgangraff@hotmail.com |

Creation – Cody Hooper – Austin, TX
“The circle represents a constant movement of mobility. Hanger gives this independence to its patients on a day to day basis through its innovation in prosthetics. The strands of the circular shape come together to create a feeling of strength. This also communicates physical capability and unity or connectedness.” Full Artwork Description www.codyhooperart.com | 469.358.1537 | codyhooper@yahoo.com |

Full Speed Ahead – John Howell – Round Rock, TX
“The train, at one time an innovative invention, is traveling forward, making progress. The train, named the M.D.R.R. (Maryland Railroad), shows the recent history of Hanger’s headquarters in Maryland. The steam engine represents the history of the company—its past innovations, and past creative solutions. Racing against the train is a runner with prostheses. He is moving forward, and is poised to outrun the old, outdated technology (the train). The steam engine has performed its job well, and will now be replaced.” Full Artwork Description www.cordovanartschool.com | 512.673.8646 | john@cordovanartschool.com |

Waves – Seth Hudson – Jonestown, TX
“These pieces tell the story of life propelling us forward and building on each generation’s innovative ideas. Each piece also tells my personal story of artistry and skill passed from one generation to the next. Scenes in Motion – Liza Shadrin – Austin, TX
“…each form is unique in that it is somehow damaged, made up for different parts. Those parts could be taken literally to represent limbs, but more so as symbols of the struggle of each individual person, whether they own a broken heart, a career setback, or loss of a physical strength to illness. Overall, my vision is of scenes of life, being moved forward through the experiences of each member of society, as well as the impact of community on this idea of forward motion.” Full Artwork Description 508.887.6559 | shadry311@yahoo.com |

Three Ring Circus – DL Tolar – Wimberley, TX
“The marionette grasps the strings with great conviction, and thereby grasps her freedom, staring directly into the eyes of the viewer as if to send the message forth like an arrow. The recovery of control over one’s life can be assisted by others, but ultimately it will be determined by one’s self. Only we can triumph over ‘Fate.’” Full Artwork Description www.dltolar.com | 512.847.8705 | artist@dltolar.com |

Aqua U’s – Leigh Taylor Wyatt — Austin, TX
“This also plays on the fact that glass is a ‘super cool liquid’ and always ‘moving.’ I am also interested in community and the strength in numbers concept of life. As we press into the future there is an urgency to move forward in our thinking, be it about the environment or our relationships with each other.” Full Artwork Description www.leightaylorwyatt.com | 512.731.1702 | leighleightw@yahoo.com |

Untitled – Sydney Yeagar – Austin, TX
“The strong forward motion is the element of this painting, which most obviously relates to the theme, ‘Moving Lives Forward.’ In the painting many particles rush from left to right. Each follows an individual path, but finally all coalesce into a single unit, pulsing forward. Like the particles in the painting, those who are in the process of healing ultimately find a strong sense of purpose and of unity.” Full Artwork Description www.dbermangallery.com | 512.971.6262 | johnay2575@aol.com |
