Our History

Founded in 2020 by Chiguer Art Contemporain and Galerie 3, Artroduction was created to support artists, particularly those at the start of their careers, who often face financial instability and lack of visibility. The goal was to address the structural challenges in the visual arts field by providing an innovative platform dedicated to the promotion and sale of artworks, offering concrete and sustainable support to emerging artists.

From the beginning, Artroduction has stood out with its open and inclusive approach, which is essential for showcasing the diversity and richness of emerging art. In collaboration with a broad community of art professionals, we identify artists whose work stands out for its exceptional quality while reflecting the cultural diversity of Quebec society.

As of November 2024, Artroduction has evolved into a non-profit organization. This transformation aims to better meet the needs of early-career artists and enhance the services offered. Artroduction now places particular emphasis on developing the management skills and entrepreneurial potential of artists.

Mission and vision

Artroduction is a career accelerator for emerging artists, helping them succeed in their introduction to the visual arts field through a professional environment of exhibitions, training, coaching, and networking opportunities. Artroduction aims to become a key player in the production of visual arts events, supporting a group of about fifteen artists each year and providing continuous support over a two-year period. This approach seeks to create dynamic and collaborative cohorts, fostering exchange and mutual development.
