Urban Diorama - Allison Moore

Urban Diorama est une installation sculpturale avec projection vidéo architecturale (vidéo-mapping) sur la résonance mémorielle des espaces architecturaux. Des vidéos sont projetées sur des modèles architecturaux et sont accompagnées d’un paysage sonore spatialisé. Le spectateur y fait l’expérience d’un mini-diorama : une ville dans laquelle les bâtiments prennent vie pour raconter leur histoire. L’installation recrée un quartier à échelle miniature dans une séquence temporelle montrant la résonance historique des bâtiments et la façon dont les villes évoluent et changent. Dans les fenêtres et les portes, nous voyons la vie quotidienne des habitants du bâtiment au fil de leur routine quotidienne.

Urban Diorama is a video-mapping installation about the resonant memory of architectural spaces. Videos are projectedonto architectural models with a spatialized soundscape. A viewer experiences a mini diorama set of a city in which the buildings come alive to tell their story. The installation recreates a neighborhood in miniature scale with a collapsed time to show the historical resonance of buildings and the way cities evolve and change. Within the windows and doors, we see the daily life of the building inhabitants as they go along with their routine.
